Honourable Hound is a positive reinforcement dog training company that exclusively uses fear free & force free techniques. Each team member is required to be certified by a reputable, industry-recognized, behaviour-science informed educational organization.
Our focus is teaching people how to train their dog using a humane approach that produces lasting results. Although we specialize in game-based dog training that’s as fun as it is effective, we have much more to share to ensure you have all the tools you need to succeed.
We believe good training is about more than teaching sit & stay; it’s about understanding each other and connecting on a deeper level.

We’re here to teach you how to cultivate a relationship with your dog that can overcome anything that real life throws at you. Our clients often describe our approach as holistic, but as behaviour-science informed trainers we tend to think of it as a thorough, multi step process where we consider all aspects of your dog’s life.
We look beyond the unwanted behaviours that you’re seeing. We want to understand what caused those behaviours in the first place and what’s holding you back from reaching your goals.

Education
Before you can prevent or fix a problem, you’ve got to understand it. Education gives you the information and problem solving skills you need to handle anything and everything that comes your way. Education is powerful and can change our lives for the better.
A well educated handler is in tune with their dog and a well educated dog has clear, consistent and fair expectations communicated to them. They understand what you’re asking of them and they trust that it will be rewarding to choose the behaviour you’d like them do.
