For puppies between 2 – 4 months

  • Puppy Elementary School is all about learning how to raise a happy, well socialized puppy who has the essential skills they need to thrive in life.

    Class 1:

    1. Auto Check Ins (Up/Down Game)

    2. Stay Calm in Exciting Situations (Matwork)

    3. Safe Puppy Play

    4. Resource Guarding Prevention (Drop it)

    Class 2:

    1. Foundation Skill (Down on Mat)

    2. Safe Puppy Play (Taking breaks)

    3. Foundation Recall (Treat Toss)

    Class 3:

    1. Confidence Building (Novel Objects)

    2. Playtime (Consent Checks)

    3. Grooming Game (Cooperative Care)

    Class 4:

    1. Greetings with Permission (Go Say Hi)

    2. Playtime (Stranger Danger Prevention pt. 1) 

    3. Puppy Swap (Stranger Danger Prevention pt. 2) 

    Socialization will make the biggest impact on your puppy in the first 3 to 4 months of their life, so don’t wait to enroll in class.

  • Duration: 50 min class, once a week for 4 weeks.

    Broadway & Fraser Location & Time:

    • Baby D’s Home Doggy Daycare (675 E Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5T 1X7)

    • Classes are Sunday mornings

    Kingsway & Fraser Location & Time:

    • Connective Community Center (3360 Fraser St, Vancouver, BC V5V 4C1)

    • Classes are Tuesday evenings & Sunday mornings

    Maximum Capacity: 6 puppies per class

    Prerequisites: N/A

    Cost: $299 +GST (save some $$$ when you purchase one of our group class bundles, click here for details)

    Vaccinations: Puppies must be between the ages of two and four months to enroll and have at least their first round of vaccinations (titer tests also acceptable). If you don’t have a copy of your puppy’s vaccinations yet, you can still sign up for class and send them to us later.

  • Office Hours:
    Our weekly Office Hours are a free, online support session included with your group class purchase. Drop in once a week to ask questions, get personalized guidance, and troubleshoot any challenges you’re facing at home. You can sign up for Office Hours as soon as you enroll—there’s no need to wait for your first class to start using this support service.

    High Instructor-to-Student Ratio:
    With a maximum of six dogs per class and at least two instructors present, help is always within reach. This low ratio ensures every dog and handler receives focused attention, personalized guidance, and immediate support whenever you need it. The experience can almost feel like a private lesson—but at group class prices.

    Personalized Feedback & Next Steps Guidance:
    At your final class, you’ll receive a frameable graduation certificate with personalized feedback and suggested next steps for your training journey. Instructors will also take the time to chat with you, answer any last questions, and provide additional guidance to help you maximize your results.
