Puppy Junior High

For puppies between 3.5 - 5 months

Puppy Junior High is designed to prep you for the teenage phase. This class is all about preventing common problems from popping up or getting worse!
Class 1:
1. Auto Check ins (Up/Down Game)
2. Foundation Recall (Touch)
3. Play & Recall from play (Touch pt. 2)
4. Stay Calm in Exciting Situations (Matwork)
Class 2:
1. Resource Guarding Prevention (Drop it)
2. Play & Recall from play (Touch pt. 2)
3. Foundation Leash Skills (Let’s Go!)
4. Leash Walking Troubleshooting (Leash Dip)
Class 3:
1. Up/Down Game Recap
2. Socialization OR Watching Exciting Things (Off leash play OR Matwork)
3. Foundation Leash Skills (1-2-3 Game)
4. Gear Wearing Problem Prevention (Self-Harnessing/Collaring)
Class 4:
1. Greetings Without Jumping (Touch + Donut Greetings)
2. Socialization OR Watching Exciting Things (Off Leash play OR Matwork)
3. Anti-Counter-Surfing Game
Duration: 50 min class, once a week for 4 weeks.
Broadway & Fraser Location & Time:
- Baby D’s Home Doggy Daycare (675 E Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5T 1X7)
- Classes are Sunday mornings
Kingsway & Fraser Location & Time:
- Connective Community Center (3360 Fraser St, Vancouver, BC V5V 4C1)
- Classes are Tuesday evenings & Sunday mornings
Maximum Capacity: 6 puppies per class
Prerequisites: N/A, but for best results, take puppy elementary school prior to this class

Vaccinations: Puppies must be between the ages of 3.5 and 5 months to enroll and have at least 2 rounds of vaccinations (titer tests also acceptable). If you don’t have a copy of your puppy’s vaccinations yet, you can still sign up for class and send them to us later.
Office Hours:
Our weekly Office Hours are a free, online support session included with your group class purchase. Drop in once a week to ask questions, get personalized guidance, and troubleshoot any challenges you’re facing at home. You can sign up for Office Hours as soon as you enroll—there’s no need to wait for your first class to start using this support service.
High Instructor-to-Student Ratio:
With a maximum of six dogs per class and at least two instructors present, help is always within reach. This low ratio ensures every dog and handler receives focused attention, personalized guidance, and immediate support whenever you need it. The experience can almost feel like a private lesson—but at group class prices.
Personalized Feedback & Next Steps Guidance:
At your final class, you’ll receive a frameable graduation certificate with personalized feedback and suggested next steps for your training journey. Instructors will also take the time to chat with you, answer any last questions, and provide additional guidance to help you maximize your results.
